An autumn photo from Gettysburg from several years back. This is Cross Avenue near the Rose Farm. It’s pretty today, but on July 2, 1863, some 20,000 troops were engaged in the fighting with 6,000 killed, wounded, or missing.

Crystal Beach is off the beaten path. It’s not all that large. It’s not a big beach, but has a small community park where each evening, crowds gather to watch — what else — the sun go down. It’s a very pleasant way to spend an evening. This particular evening we had had a great time enjoying southern BBQ at Ozona Pig where we listened to a band playing classic rock oldies and then watched an amazing sunset at Crystal Beach. This was one of the last landscape photos I took before COVID hit. I had forgotten making a series of images at Fort DeSota Park. This is the Sunshine Skyway Bridge from the park’s East Beach.
